I looked at your blog and I really liked it :)

Oh my gosh I love this I’m so upset I didn’t think of it before

Percy loves his mom. Of course no one thought anything of it when Percy would through on his mom’s clothes and join her when painting her nails

When Gabe came in though, it stopped pretty quickly. Gabe wanted to show Percy how to be a “real” man. Percy kinda have up too, he would hide.

Same thing at school, he didn’t fit in much with his male classmates and he chalked it up to being adhd and stuff or demigod when he was older.

Percy would still love skirts and dresses though. I feel like when he started dating annabeth, he would see a pretty one he would want to wear and think, wow annabeth would love that.

I don’t think Percy would figure out he’s fem till new rome. He would finally have time to think and actually explore himself more fully.

He would probably be going to some new rome event that would require a toga and be like “this is so nice annabeth, so breezy.” She would joke on if he likes it so much he should wear it

His classmates honestly would probably find it annoying, but annabeth, hazel and Frank would find it hilarious. Percy would too, even just wearing the Toga sometimes. And realizing, wait I do like this, maybe I just the way it feels

One night him and his mom would be Iris chatting and Sally would comment on his toga, and made her happy to see her little boy wearing ‘dresses’ again. I feel like Percy would have forgotten that

He would ask and they would take and laugh. But Percy would leave the chat feeling, kinda lost. Soul searching time, experimenting and what not. Probably talking to Hazel and Piper

Then annabeth. And then suddenly, holy crap I don’t feel 100% male, just like I’m not 100% human.

He would definitely go random pronouns trying things out. Not minding he, but liking they and she too. He would start dressing more feminine, getting help with his makeup

Deciding he really like skirts and heavy eyeliner. Annabeth wouldn’t mind, she would even say he found him sexy and cute

The tragedy of accepting bi4bi Percabeth but not being able to see t4t Percabeth cause Annabeth is too girl imo. She's not a girly girl nor a tomboy. She's just girl. Max or min femme both kinda vibe could be trans to me but middle of the road? Percy is definitely trans though so Percabeth can still be doomed yuri.

trans percy looking into circe’s magic cloth mirror and seeing himself taller, with broader shoulders and a sharper jawline. he’s 13 and insecure, he’s going through the wrong puberty, and he’s looking at a version of himself that he never thought he’d get to see. he already feels out of place on the island, “where are all the dudes?” and circe is telling him that she can make this cis version of percy reality. and all he has to do is drink some potion.

“the first step is admitting that you're not happy the way you are."

he knows deep down it’s a trap, but circe’s magically aided manipulation is convincing, and maybe a part of percy wants to believe it’ll work. he knows he still has a way to go in his transition, but why should he have to wait? he’s surrounded by magical beings (including his own father) that could instantaneously put him in the right body… but choose not to. why won’t they just help him out?

“why question it? i mean, don't you want the perfect you right away?”

and here is circe, practically giving his dysphoria a name and a voice. telling him she agrees that he doesn’t have enough muscle or body hair and he isn’t tall enough and his voice isn’t deep enough. telling him these feelings are valid and it’s understandable why percy would hate himself so much, find his body so foreign. telling him there’s no need to find himself through transition, because she can make him cis. make him palatable.

“the hardest part of the makeover process is giving up control. you have to decide: do you want to trust your judgment about what you should be, or my judgment?"

and then he’s turned into a guinea pig. his body is made more wrong than it was before. how could he have been so stupid? he feels completely helpless and out of place but. doesn’t he always?

but he’s still told that he isn’t the same as the other guinea pigs. he’s less feral. more docile. the perfect class pet, something to be ogled at from behind a glass wall. he doesn’t belong on circe’s island of perfect girls and women of course, but he also doesn’t belong here with the other real guinea pigs. maybe he’s actually a hamster.

“i thought about what circe had said: ‘see, percy? you've unlocked your true self!’ i still felt changed. not just because i had a sudden desire to eat lettuce. i felt jumpy, like the instinct to be a scared little animal was now a part of me. or maybe it had always been there. that's what really worried me.”

Percy: steps backwards a few times, her mum's hands falling off the teen's shoulders "Nevermind."

Sally: "Percy, if you had been a girl instead of a boy, I would have named you Psyche. There was a Greek princess long ago. She endured despite all the hardships and found happiness, much like Perseus did."

Percy: frowns Nancy and other bullies would've called me Psycho for sure.

Sally: "Percy, what's on your mind?"

Percy: "It's nothing, Mum."

Percy: goes into her bedroom.

Percy a week later: "Mum, I'm a girl."

Sally (who had done research after what to her had been a strange conversation with her "son"): "Thank you, Percy, for trusting me. Do you want to change your name?"

Percy: "Wait, that's it? You believe me?"

Sally: holds her arms wide.

Percy: hugs her mum who returns the embrace.

Sally: "You're my daughter. Of course I trust you to tell me the truth."

Percy: silently cries against her mum's upper chest.

Sally: "Do you want to keep Percy as your name or choose a new one?"

Percy: "Both. I wanna replace Perseus with something that's pretty and can easily be shortened to Percy."

Sally: "How about Persephone?"

Percy: "Wasn't she kidnapped?"

Sally: "...Maybe not Persephone. But you didn't seem to like the name Psyche last week."

Percy: "Mum, do you know any other names?"

Sally: "There is Percilla. It's from the Latin word priscus, meaning venerable."

Percy: grins "Perfect!! Thank you, Mum!!"
